Re: Rovertech long term members

Am I alone in finding tomcat espace's post a tad puzzling? It's very lonely being alone ... :) I'm on most MG and Rover enthusiasts' sites including FB and have found quite the opposite. Facebook has limitations mostly as its used by those with little hand held devices such as phones which do not en...

Re: Steel Caged PG1 Gearbox Bearings and Seals

Just checked my store of new PG1 Bearings and I have a spare "UPRATE". This fits on top of the Input Shaft and locates in the upper PG1 casing ( not bellhousing ) There are two sizes of this bearing fitted into PG1s, the larger "UPRATE" version usually fitted to the Gearbox in th...

I had no idea all this has been going on, sorry to see so much bad feeling. Maybe it is just a matter of time, I hope not, this is a little bit of Rover history here. I hope whoever is in a position to allow a transfer of power if you like, will allow it to evolve and develop with the cars and user...

Social media. Much going on in the rover scene? wedges, 600s, 800s? Yes, there is but sadly it is fragmented and widely spread now. Not all on one site. Off the top I recall a few ... Rover 600 Appreciation Society MG Rover T16 Owners MG ZT and ZT-T Owners Just MG-Rs .... and no doubt many others.

If that is the Input Shaft Bearing in the centre of the PG1 Gearbox Bell Housing I can supply a new one of those if you get stuck locally.

Premium quality steel caged.

Nice info, thanks for that. Always remember you saying about the fluid in the box! You should write a book :D Another 620ti Gearbox story. Crikey. Nice to see you still posting MGJohn  For my own mind, are you saying these bearing are virtually unobtainable? Regular 9-Ball 6208s are easily available. 14-Ball ones less so.
