Make sure you view and drive one.
They rust underneath and can look really scrappy when they do.
I would personally get a pampered MGF in your colour of choice

Really good welder, pretty much as new condition hasnt even welded 1 reel of wire. Can be used with gas or no gas. Will set it up to use with gas (includes new gas bottle) These are much better quality than a lot of welders that are around. 150 Amp so can tackle any job from car repair to fabricatio...

Yes its an spi. The mpi's came later. Everyone wanted the mpi's back in the day as they were easier to convert (no fuel pump change and other parts the same) But honestly this needs to be preserved. Since I spent £300 on the tyres alone.
I would be willing to knock a fair bit off with some different wheels or tyres.
I actually have some nice 14 team dynamics which could go with it.

I would transplant a rwd engine and gearbox from something else.
Its so easy to get a propshaft made, and the manifolds are more suited to fitting under the bonnet.
I know its nice to keep it rover but really does it matter?

Does it have the SAAB valve to flow water into the matrix.
I would suggest its to do with this or a blockage due to old k seal etc.
If the engine gets up to temp I highly doubt it will be overcooling even with no stat!

Pretty sure just the air bag light, which goes out for a short while if you move the pretensioner wires/seat.
I will be testing it when its got less than 4 weeks on the ticket.
Its not for sale because of the mot coming up :)
