How's this looking nowadays? There must be only a small handful still in existance, let alone owned by RT'ers

Every few weeks or months I pop in here to see what is going on. Rarely do I stick around and dig into new threads, there just doesn't seem to be much happening in the Rover world anymore.

Forgot to mention George McMMMM, that guy who ran RSM. Some very memorable/interesting stories revolving around him but I'm sure most people who know the stories would rather forget them!

Re: Your most memorable RT member or moment
Quite a few from waaay back, even pre Rovertech (rover200.com days) Gurney bros in general - legendary cars in the community, good banter on MSN messenger and lots of arguments! Mark - sadly left us quite a while ago to join the turbocharged VTEC 216 cabriolet workshop in the sky. Top bloke, hugely ...

Pair of Coupe seats - free
Hi guys, A friend of mine has these two Coupe seats lying around and wants rid. He got them for free from another friend (some of you might remember Fordo / Fordimus Prime from here, he had a charcoal grey 420 GSi Turbo around the same time I had mine, and a couple of Coupes before that) so doesn't ...

Some of us old blokes still pop in from time to time to have a nosey around
Even if it's still fairly quiet in here, there's still more than 10 years of knowledge and projects in here. Lack of new stuff shouldn't detract from that.

10 years of Rovertech
Done a search but didn't find any mention of this important RT day and I totally forgot about it until now. On the evening of 19 February 2003, Rovertech was born. It was spawned from groups of people leaving various other popular Rover forums of the time. Many of the folks who were main contributor...

Re: Rovertech long term members
Hi chaps :) I've been a member since a pretty long time, through my 214Si ownership and onto the unforgettable (and still very much missed) 420 GSi Turbo. Loads of names on here I recognise and plenty I don't - it's great to see the forum still going, people still running, modifying, meeting, banter...

I think he re-built it into another shell Leo, the original had some huge cracks around the front suspension towers :scared: Sad to hear :( However I finally feel some closure! (I may, just may, have mentioned a hundred times before how much I miss that car!!!) Found the 'crack' thread in Bodywork/...

Bump!
I was just Googling some of my old car registration numbers and this thread popped up
What's the current status of these badboys? Probably I don't want to know the answer but... does Rizzy still have 'my' old 420t?

Rover 600/800 wheels, steel or alloy
Hi all, I need a set of wheels to fit a 600. Don't mind if they are steel or alloys and don't need tyres as I will be fitting winter tyres to them. The only rub is that I'm in Germany at the moment and would need them sending to me here. Naturally I'm happy to pay for the courier cost. If you've got...

Still got the Rover 600 diesel I bought off John P before I left 2 yrs ago. Still on UK plates and running around Germany, Italy and France - it was back in UK for its MOT back in May. L series starter motor for '98 600
Hi all, Been a while since I posted on here, thankfully that is good news as nothing *touch wood* has really gone wrong with the car in all this time. However recently the starter started (!!) playing up. In fact it did the same thing last year when the weather started getting cold but I ignored it ...

LHD/Euro spec 600 headlights
Hi boys and girls :) Bit of a tricky one, this. I've now had the 600 for over a year and it's been kept at our address in Frankfurt on UK plates. I'm starting to get a bit worried about the real legality of this and even though the car is fully UK legal and the insurance covers for full 12 months ab...

Re: What £800 car would you take to the Nurburgring?
Having owned an 800 vit sport now, id take one of them (stripped out, ditch the crash bars, and the 285mm brakes). They are a superb drive and its the only car ive driven which you can jump in and give it 100% and you just know it wont do something stupid. To me ideal for the ring. Unfortunate it l...

Re: What £800 car would you take to the Nurburgring?
I wouldn't take a Rover unless it was a pretty fast one TBH. There are loads of cars which would fit the bill. Recently seen a NASP mk2 MR2 going for around 800 or there abouts, that would be good fun. Or how about a 3 litre Monza: http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/986521.htm Mk1 MR2: http://www.pi...
