If it's easy to getting running and all that jazz then it would be easier to sell complete. it's always worth seeing how much they fetch on ebay complete etc. I find that to be a prett...

can you not get some D5 variant from Volvo? the 5 cylinder diesel engine they do is very good.

I would have thought a large hatch would be sufficient for the misses and kids.

Sadly this is true.

Far more in parts. Break down what you'd get in parts then compare to selling car as 'needing' work.

Best of luck.

right guys, I've got a t-series engine out of my old coupe. It's been sat in my garage and I need the space ASAP. Details of engine are: 220 Dizzy bloc. Re: Rebuilt standard T16 block & head with steel caged box e

might have been used because they are very cheap.??

Also iirc the ratios are lower than the K7/C6 box.

I personally would not use that gearset as my first choice on a turbo running a forged engine. I would either use a K7 with type B or C6 [ti box]

sure others might shed some light

Box isn't worth much as it's NASP - £50-65 ...

not sure what these are suitable for tbh

Re: Rebuilt standard T16 block & head with steel caged box e

OK - £250 - 300 for engine

gearbox £250

you'll shift them on easier if you split them.

what's been done to the bottom end? was it just inspected or has it been re-honed and new rings/shells etc fitted?

sounds like it has had a top end rebuild - is that right?

is the engine complete?

Most people tend to want a forged engine if they're going to the trouble of installing a new engine.

exactly what new parts went on it?

Hi Guys Selling my front mount oil cooler that has had custom made high pressure pipes. Plan was to mount it on the front where the cooler can get much better airflow... like the RS setup. A absolute bargain :o +1 £1500 is an absolute steal. I know what you're saying about wanting to get rid of the car but it just seems crazy to sell it for so little. Plus, I'd say an 800 is a perfect family car. Loads of space. Anyway, I don't want to derail this thread so the very best of luck with...
