Re: Pride of Longbridge 2018 Rovertech stand and meet!

The issue you have is without the boss mans say so (john) not a lot can get done. With all respect, the only restriction with not having Jon around, is that he is the only one in a position to upgrade the forum. Everything else we could wish to do, wouldn't be a problem. If Jon was active right thi...

Re: Pride of Longbridge 2018 Rovertech stand and meet!

Not being cheeky, but... just to clarify, in the past various members would state their discontent at the fact there are no meets. I feel it was considered a task for the admin, mods, what have you, to sort this out. That is the impression I got, however the reality is, most of the mod and admin are...

Re: Rovertech long term members

It is even more complicated than that according to Jon, the reason he held back updating the forum to the latest software was due to the 'custom' bits he had done, so even if we got control, updating would be a nightmare.

Re: Rovertech long term members

TBH when the idea was floated for a meet at POL 2018, only one member came forward to help, despite a fair few seeing the post.

As long as the hosting is paid up and the information remains, the forum still has a purpose. It is still rather busy with lurkers to be fair.

I posted up for the Merseyside Meet for a few years on here, not one Member of RT came, just sayin'. :| Like I said, we are well aware of the history of meets, but that doesn't mean we can't change our ways. There is no point in folk saying the forum is dyin' and so on, if they are unwilling to do ...

There has always been a moan here and there about the lacks of meets, so we are calling those members forward to assist in making this work. there is no chance in hell Vinny and I can pull this off on our own, if that is what anyone is thinking. This thread has zero purpose at this point, its only making the forum look worse and worse. If anyone suggests this thread is better than zero threads, then you are badly mistaken. Rather ...

How long?

Indeed, as title. I was out clattering around in the garage earlier and remembered that I have owned my blue Coupe for 11 years. Many have come and gone in between, but I can't imagine parting with it.

Whats the longest affair you have had with a motor and what is/was it?

Re: Head count - If you are active, let us know!

Is there a suggestion/idea for a meet in the pipeline? I'm inclined to think something small and cosy, so people can get to know each other better. There are a lot of misconceptions about other people and I think this is a chance to get off on the right foot. I am certainly keen to see if *insert u...

I'm active, my rover isn't. I hear that. Great response, we don't need big numbers to make it happen, just enough to organise it. We could do a pub meet at the least or book somewhere bigger if we need to. At any rate, objective is to make it happen, it can light the way to bigger and better ...
