Autoglym hd wax is a very underated peformer

Would be my recommendation for easy of application and removal

Halfords often do 3 for 2

Couple the hd wax with the extra glos protextion sealant too

Polish/correct paint blah blah

Seal

Wax

I just bought collinite 476s for the winter. Gives it a nice finish to the car and lasts a few months like the hd was greg mentioned. It's highly rated and cheaper.

Just a sample, yes. Will be using it on the focus initially. Long durability is mainly what I was after, just like your hd one. And a dedicated wax for the focus since its a lighter car as I only have the dodo juice purple haze.

Anyone compared autoglym hd to 476s? I've used 476s for 4 or 5 years, wondered if ag is better.

See this is what i am wondering myself

Rav went for 476 because its cheaper

Period

I suspect the difference is minute tbh

Not that wax gives gloss appearance, as thats part of the polishing stage, but i gatherv 476 just gets on with it, perhaps offers slighty longer protection, but ag hd gives a more sheen/ glass look

Its a mine field detailling, as its often down to personal taste and colour of paint its being applied too

One thing i will say, hadnt used ag hd for a few months, but when i did, the end result was " thats what i am talking about"

I went for it based on recommendation, not just because it's cheaper and the fact that I wanted it for a lighter colour car. I had a budget for a wax of about £25 which I eouodnt exactly call cheap. This wax is a well known wax, easy to apply and buff off, similar to my dodo juice one. I'm happy with my choice.

Personal taste, defo. There's a million waxes out there. Everyone will have their own opinion on it. I've never used AG hd but from what greg says it's very good.

also get some corrosion block spray for the area above the wheel arches, suspension parts and underbody. Cars rot from inside out, not outside in.

Bilthamber balm auto wax is great, it gets rid of swirls in the paint, leaves no residue, is applied with a damp cloth or pad (supplied) & leaves a great protective shine.
