Motor Insurance Lapsed nine hours ago saving £30!
The Insurance on my wife's MG ZS expired at 00.01 this morning. Phoned up to renew and instead of the £184 to renew, as her policy had lapsed she was treated as a new client and so the premium was £154.
I know why insurance companies do this and I also know that in the past, now distant past in cartel riddled rip-off-UK, it did not used to be like that. Loyalty was automatically rewarded with a reduced premium at renewal provided no claims.
