Wipers
Has anyone tried these new Michelin stealth hybrid wipers, they seem to be well recommended as the top brand wipers, with scrape & smear free wiping?? Just wondered if they are as good as they say.

I would be interested in this myself. Currently I am using aero-flats and the last two sets i have had haven't been doing a great job to be be honest, with smearing one of the main issues currently.

Re: Wipers
Have you tried treating it with RainX or Duxback etc?
Re: Wipers
Not sure if thats at me or the OP but to be honest I have never used Rainx or the other, always thought they were a bit of a gimmick, though saying that I haven't actually tried them, do they work then?

Re: Wipers
Just found some at our local "Job Lot" store for 99d, they look normal design wipers so I'll give them a try LOL. Not bloody rained since I bought them so I'll have to wait n see. Still they can't be any worse than the crappy Bosch blades I got ( lasted 3 months)

Re: Wipers
Halfords ones lift at speed despite the driver's side being fitted with an aerofoil. I got some cheapy flexible ones which seem to do the job but when the wipers come to rest, some water gets trapped in front of the blade and then proceeds to blow off the edge and up the windscreen requiring a further sweep and the same thing happens again, eventually it clears though but the actual wipers themselves are pretty good.

Stella now gone, Ruby is my baby now.

Re: Wipers
They work well, but require re-application every 6-12 months i would say.Jonj1611 wrote:Not sure if thats at me or the OP but to be honest I have never used Rainx or the other, always thought they were a bit of a gimmick, though saying that I haven't actually tried them, do they work then?
Re: Wipers
Oh really, that far apart, I never bothered with it as thought it was something you would end up putting on every day or after it rained or something. Might get some and give it a go, thanks

Re: Wipers
Rained here at last & the 99d wipers were fine, no smears at all. Off to buy some more tomorrow for later use.LOLSlacko wrote:Still not bloody rained here to try em, better luck tomorrow eh?
