Over on another car enthusiasts' web site (PH), knowing my love of all things Rover and MG, a member contacted me with a free offer of some Rover parts ~ including a new 800 Instrument assembly ~ and various Rover workshop manuals. Very useful. Just needed postage costs. As he lived only 55 miles away, I decided to drive up and collect last evening. What a beautiful drive it mainly on the A46. The ZT's SatNav suggested quickest route ~ mostly motorways which I changed to shortest route. Fastest route was an extra thirteen miles. Glad I did.

I duly collected the stuff and set off back home. Again the SatNav suggested quickest route ~ mainly Motorways ~ changed that to shortest route on the A46. Didn't really need the SatNav but decided to use the car's built in one instead of the TomTom. The A46 was almost traffic free. A delightful drive. As it was such a superb sunny late afternoon and early evening. my good lady and younger son decided to come along. With my wife alongside, I drove like a chauffeur ... ..... That also showed on the fuel gauge which hardly moved for the 114 mile round trip. I took this picture of one of this enthusiast's cars :~
