I bought this for my Mother 5 years ago, in 2010. Earlier this year I replaced it with a newer Mini, hence it's for sale. She's done less than 3k miles/year in it, however my Father is meticulous for mechanical things, so it's had:
Serviced every year (3,000 miles) (oil, filter, air filter, spark plugs)
Replacement engine with a known good s/h bottom end and cylinder head rebuilt.
New cambelt, tensioner and waterpump with above rebuilt engine (<6k miles ago)
New clutch and cable
New gear linkage and rear bush for it
New brakes all round - Pagid discs and pads
New front lower arms and ARB links
New catalytic converter
New lambda sensor
Forward chassis legs (where bumper bolts to) replaced a couple of years ago (common rust issue).
No advisories at last MOT.
There is no rust and everything works as it should.
Tyres are Toyo T1-R Proxes with 6mm tread front, 3mm rear
The only mods to the car are a stainless Mongoose exhaust (the original rusted away) and 15" Citroen C5 aluminium "steel" wheels (lightest production wheel available), painted in white.
