T16 Rover 25 braking

Post by ben342 »

I'm braking a rover 25 that has had a T16 conversion done. Engine is not available but let me know if anybody needs anything before the rest of the car gets scrapped.

Alloy radiator with fans SOLD

Pioneer DAB redio/cd player with aerial for DAB £30

16" rover alloys with new looking front tyres but worn rear tyres £100
(Best picture I have of alloys just now)

620ti front brake setup £20

I will add bits as I think of them but feel free to ask about anything

Thanks
Ben

Are the Cableguy Poly re-moulds not good enough for your track car?

What does it matter?or have anything to do with either of you what i do?

Funny how every man and his dog comments on a reply to mounts but nothing on any of my posts?

Way to go and ruin the op for sale thread

Calipers, carriers, disks, pads and I will send the flexies because I don't know if they are required aswell.

In need of dash switches if you have any available for pre facelift bubble-

Front & rear fog switches,
Rear Demister,
Headlamp leveller/ adjuster.

Might want the batt to boot as well if you do,

Cheers,
Dave.

Just lately you are grumpy :) , I was confusing the vibra mounts with poly mounts. So I am sorry for me being old and not 100% on what you had on your car.

Call it £35 for battery to boot, switches and postage. If you don't want battery to boot kit then it will be £8. I'll put up images of the battery to boot later tonight or tomorrow morning. It come with battery tray, battery clamp, bolts to fit tray, live cables to reach engine and an earth cable. There seems to be one of the rods to link the top clamp to the test missing but I will try my best to find a replacement as I don't like selling anything incompleat.

Thanks
Ben.

Come up with a price for the brake kit posted if that's ok and I'll send you some money
. Do you know what size master cylinder you have? Want the kit to go on a zr105 and apparently they have a smaller master cylinder

It is standard rover 25 one. I have found the disks junk so I wont send them with the Calipers so that will atl easy bring postage down. Im going to cross reference the disks to make sure they are rover 620ti ones so I'll also be able to give buyer the part number for them. I'll get a price posted later today. There is some one interested in these already but you will have second refusal.

The discs won't be ones from a ti - most likely from a ZR160.

Is the intercooler still available?

Hi again, got my dash switches and batt to boot kit, switches all good, never got round to fitting the battery to boot as I wasn't keen on running the two 16mm cables from boot to starter and fuse box and haven't got round to getting thicker stuff yet.

As for the 25, what do you have left T series wise as I'm looking to convert a NASP to turbo?
Do you know if the Ti set up was modified before fitting to the 25?

Cheers again, Dave

Glad to hear you got the bits ok. Nothing really left of the T16 conversion as it is currently getting fully rebuilt to go into my track car. Only things I could let go is the standard ecu, cheep bled valve, standard turbo with blank for dump valve and the standard exhaust manifold.

Intercooler is getting kept for now but will become available once I get a bigger one for my car.

Disks are the ZS ones as I checked part numbers.

I'm stripping Vi next week so won't have the funds until parts off that have sold. Would like to call dibs on a few bits but will let other people get them if needed but most of what you've just mentioned I might be interested in.

Any play in the turbo? Is the ECU the 2 gap one you originally listed? Manifold in good condition? Rad solid, no leaks etc and fans working? Condition of pistons & rods? On top of those I might be interested in the brakes as well.

Roll have to check the turbo for play. Engine is wasted spark so whatever flywheel goes along with that but I'll check myself if it is 2 or 4 gap. Flywheel may also be available as I'm thinking of going for an alloy flywheel on mine. Radiator is possibly sold but you can be 4th in line if the others don't want it. Manifold, pistons and rods I'll have to check aswell since I was gust going to scrap them with the car but I'm sure they are ok. I'll let you know.

It would be £40 posted but that is without the disks as I found one was warped. Part number for new disks is BG3970.

Send me a pm if your interested.
