I thought it would be relevant to post it here as I spent many hours on previous rovers and this has been a project very similar to these. Bike had been sat under a cover for 5yrs outside in a garden, left to be forgotten, I seen an opportunity and struck a deal with the owner (a now good friend of mine ) although I had no motorbike licence so over the course of learning to pass my tests I did the work that it needed and today was the first day I finally got to ride it.

An absolutely chuffed with it and its a proper little pocket rocket which honestly scares me its so quick.

Thanks for looking

Chris

Nice. like anything I'm sure you will get use to the speed of it. Just dont get too complacent a mate of mine has a cbr600 and when he jumps on that after using the car for a while it feels fast but then soon gets a feel for it again.. My neighbour also had a gsx600r and he crashed that not long after his test and broke his ankle. Did away with the bike altogether in the end..

Nice. Something about a kawasaki i cant shake. On my 3rd now and cant see me moving marques anytime soon.

Think its the ram air induction noise of my 7r that does it though. Only comes second to the noise of a ducati 916 with a pair of termigoni's.

its definately the growl of the induction roar, :drive: power wheelies in first and second if you wind it on too fast.
Modified the rear can last week, took the resonators out and shortened the can by about 15cms so now it actually sounds like a bike and as the saying goes "loud pipes saves lives", people can definately hear me coming now as if im behind someone they try to pull out of the way - even on sweeping bends!!!!! :scared: which someitmes prompts me why i would want to pass on a bend!

Totally different to a car in the way it accelerates, from 50-to (well im not actually going to say this here incase) is pretty damn scary and this is only a 636cc i dread to think what a litre bike or bigger is like.

some more pics from local rides :mrcool:
