My Bubble Turbo

Post by Chris_200 »

I am finding myself considering more and more frequently parting ways with my bubble turbo - it really doesn't get used enough and whilst I love it when I drive it, I am finding my self hankering for something a bit more comfortable with a few less seats.

This picture doesn't include the new FMIC - but to give something to jog the memory;

Image

The spec sheet is here -> http://www.rovertech.net/forum/viewtopi ... 28&t=96829

Full rebuild, T28, monster FMIC, Torsen B box. Both sills have been replaced. There are a couple of bubbles appearing over the rear arch which I would repair and blow the car over if I were to keep it.

I know that it is worth more in parts - it will be a very sad day if I have to break it having invested actual blood, sweat and tears into it - I am not sure I could bring myself to do it. At the end of the day I know that it is a T reg bubble.

What do you think I could get for it?

I also have unfitted spares;

W4 steel caged torsen B box
Adjustable, spherical bearing top mounts
Turbo timers
Spare heads
Gearbox cases (Bell housings, etc standard torsen boxes no U spec)

If its as tidy as it looks i'd say £1500. I sold mine for £1100 in the summer and although it was a good conversion the bodywork wasn't great and it was pretty standard.

Nope - I am done with Rover after this one. I have enjoyed it and learnt allot - but its time to go Jap.

I am looking for a 350Z - quite specific about what I want, but not in any great rush. I have supercharger plans....

My blue one? This one or my jap one?

Will see what pictures I can find - its not definately going up for sale, it depends what price point is found.

The spec link above is still valid

These are the most recent showing bay and fmic - although there is an omp brace now as opposed to the e-tech one

Looks nice. How did you fit the zr front splitter/bumper extension to the 200 bumper? And did you replace the whole rear bumper with a mk1 ZR?
Cheers

Front splitter was trimmed and tiger sealed when I flushed the front bumper before painting

Rear is a flushed ZR 160 Mk1

I am block hunting if anyone has one that they want shot of at reasonable money
