picked him up last night, hes a yorkshire terrior pedigree 9 weeks old
my nan used to breed these dogs and sadly gave them up after being mooved into a home so i have been after one for a while as i miss having them around + i dont have to spend £150 every few months replacing the clutch on my coupe any more so i gotta have something to spend my hard-earned on!
My girlfriend has a mini-yorkie. She (the dog, not the girlfriend) is bloody mental and where she gets her energy from is beyond me.
That said, when I go round, the dog will IGNORE everyone apart from me My g/f will go to let her out in the morning and she'll shoot upstairs and dive on the bed to get me up, then I have to go outside with her
I just associate torkshire terriers with yip yip yip. There used to be a house close to my dads that had about 18 and they were always sat on the drive waiting for you to walk past. Then they would yip, yip yip.
The sister has a Yorkie, 5 year old, lovely dogs. We used to have one when I was growing up too, one lived to 14, we had one who was a lovely little dude but he had to be put down as he used to go a bit mad and bite people quite badly. He bit all of us (Mum, Dad me and my sister) but the last straw was when he bit one of Mum's brothers. The poor bastad was a lovely dog 99.9% of the time but he used to go mad, we live across the road from a bird sanctuary and the wildlife expert had a look at him and reckoned he was a result of close breeding. It took 3 vets to give him his shots when he was a puppy, he was quite a strong little guy in fairness. We were all in bits but had to be done.
The one the sister has though is unbelievably well tempered, she wouldn't dream of biting anyone unless she was seriously provoked.
And it used to walk and p1ss inside to spread the smell around.
Bad owner should have interpreted the signs and let the little bugger out side or do more walks, terriers like 3-4 walks a day and when they know the walks are comming at the same time everytime they are willing to hold it a little.
basic house training.

Indeed, the sister's Yorkie goes every morning at 8.30am after the sister drops her off at our house on her way to work, the dog waits until getting to our house as we have grass out the back garden. At night she'll go outside when told to and of course during the day on her walks she does multiple ones.

My nan was 90 and couldn't walk to the end of the road :S
The dog had access to a garden all the time. It was just a horrible little thing.
I just hate little yappy dogs. Big dogs seem to be alright, little dogs are like short men, mouthy and annoying.

In fairness your Nan though no doubt a loving owner perhaps wasn't really able to look after a dog. They need daily walks etc etc not just a wander around the garden.
