That will only encourage it I would tape a wire brush to your leg

cold showers takes allot of time, at the end of the day you have to dry them again.

The simplest way is a very stern no, followed by being segregated from the pack.

First for a short period say 5 mins, and extend the time every time it happens.
but always reset to 5 mins on every new day.

So say she does it three times in a day

1st = 5min
2nd = 10 mins
3rd = 15 mins

next day

1st = 5 min
2nd = 15 min
3rd = 20 mins.

The being separated hurts more than a good spanking.

Should take roughly 1-2 months depending on the breed.

Its the dog trying to assert dominance over you or any visitors. Put it in its place, stern 'no' and some good finger waggling, and separation worked for me with our Jack Russell.
